Indiana Pacers vs. Atlanta Hawks

The Atlanta Hawks looks to even the series up against the Indiana Pacers in Game 5 from Phillips Arena. The Hawks are -1.5 point favorites over the Pacers.
Head to head, the Pacers are 7-18-1 ATS in the last 26 meetings in Atlanta while the home team is 22-7 ATS in the last 29 meetings and favorite is 21-5 ATS in the last 26 meetings. The Hawks are 3-11 ATS in their last 14 vs. Eastern Conference, 2-7 ATS in their last 9 home games and the 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall. The Pacers on the other hand are 5-14 ATS in their last 19 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games overall.
I can’t remember seeing the last time I watched a playoff series where the home team had such an advantage in each and every game. So through five games, the home team has won by an average of 17.4 points per game, which is quite staggering when you think about it. Not only that, but the same trend rings true since the final game of last season as the home team has now won the last nine contests and is 22-7 against the spread in the last 29 overall.
So keeping all that in mind, how do you make a strong case for the Pacers in this one? Given how things have gone in this series, surly were destined to see a big Indiana victory in Game 7.
I’m going to continue with the trend here and say that the Hawks force a Game 7, but I expect this one to be a little closer than Games 3 & 4. Indiana hasn’t been a good road team all season long and I think that Atlanta will just be too desperate tonight.
