Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings

The Los Angeles Clippers travel to Sacramento to face the Kings on Wednesday night in the regular season finale. The Clippers are -6.5 point favorites over the Kings with an over/under point total set at 209.
Head to head, the Clippers are 2-5-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Sacramento while the home team is 11-4-1 ATS in the last 16 meetings and the favorite is 7-3-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The Kings are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 and 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 home games. The Clippers on the other hand are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 games playing on 0 days rest, 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400 and 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
Oddly enough, this is a pretty important game for both teams tonight. As far as the Los Angeles Clippers are concerned, they have to win tonight to ensure they have home-court advantage over the Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the playoffs. There is a scenario that could see the Clippers jump up to the third spot (if Denver losses at home to Phoenix) but that seems very unlikely. If Los Angeles losses and Memphis defeats the visiting Jazz, then home-court advantage would go to the Grizzlies.
The Sacramento Kings aren’t obviously playing for playoff seeding, however, this could be their very last game in Sacramento as a move to Seattle next season could be on the cards. The Kings have played 28 seasons in Sacramento, but the last couple of years have been marred with rumors about moving the team to another location.
So as you can see, you can expect maximum effort from both the Kings and Clippers in tonight’s game. While the over looks temping, I have to take the in-form Los Angeles team here, despite them losing in Sacramento by 15 points not so long ago.

Pick
Los Angeles Clippers -6.5 Sacramento Kings
