Los Angeles Clippers vs. Phoenix Suns

The Los Angeles Clippers return home to play the Phoenix Suns tonight. The Clippers are -15.5 point favorites over the Suns with an over/under point total set at 199.
Head to head, the home team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the favorite is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Clippers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 7-3 ATS in their last 10 games following a S.U. loss, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall. The Suns on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games playing on 3 or more days rest, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games.
I’m going to cut to the chase in this one, I think the Los Angeles Clippers give the Phoenix Suns a good ole butt whoppin in this game. Yes, the Clippers are losers of three straight and four of five, but that just means they are going to be all the more desperate to get the victory here tonight. Don’t believe me, have a look at Chris Paul’s comments below:
“We’ve had three chances to get to 50 wins, and we still haven’t been able to do it. So Wednesday’s a big game for us,” Paul said. “We’ve got to approach it like a playoff game. Most teams are approaching us like that.”
Now let’s take a quick look at how this Phoenix Suns team has performed lately. They have lost 10 of their last 11 games and their last five losses have come at an average of 14 points. They have also lost five straight away from home by an average of 17.8 per game.
Given everything above, I don’t see how the Clippers don’t come out and win this one by 20+.
