Utah Jazz vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks seek their fourth straight victory tonight when they play host to the Utah Jazz. The Jazz are -4 point favorites over the Jazz.
Head to head, the Jazz are 17-4 ATS in the last 21 meetings while the home team is 10-1 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The Bucks are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400, 1-7 ATS in their last 8 home games and 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall. The Jazz on the other hand are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. NBA Central, but just 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games.
Thanks to some recent clutch performances from Monta Ellis, the Milwaukee Bucks come into tonight’s showdown riding three straight victories. Ellis was pivotal in each of Milwaukee’s last three wins, hitting the game winning three against Houston, nailing a tiebreaking jumper against Dallas and most recently scoring six of his 23 points in overtime to take down the visiting Toronto Raptors 122-114 on Saturday night. The Bucks now sit one game over .500 after struggling before and after the All-Star break.
Injuries have played a big part in the Utah Jazz recent slide. Even though they are coming off a 98-68 demolition of the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night, the Jazz had lost their previous three games, due in large part to the injuries to Paul Millsap and Al Jefferson, both of whom are nursing sore angles. The pair are questionable for tonight’s showdown with the Bucks.
The Jazz have had the edge over the Bucks in recent meetings, winning four straight and the lone meeting this season in Utah 100-86. Utah has also covered in four straight and 17 of the last 21 meetings.
I like Utah getting the points in this one.
