Los Angeles Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings
The Los Angeles hopes to turn things around as they square off against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night. The line for the game has yet to be released.
Head to head, the Lakers are 9-4 ATS in the last 13 meetings in Sacramento while the home team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The Kings are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 vs. Western Conference, but just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following a S.U. win. The Lakers on the other hand are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record, 0-4 ATS in their last 4 road games and 8-17-1 ATS in their last 26 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.
Just as it looked like the Los Angeles Lakers were hitting their strides, they have hit a dump with four losses coming in their last five games following their 113-103 defeat in Milwaukee on Thursday. As a result of their recent slide, the Lakers now only sit a ½ game ahead of the Utah Jazz for the eighth and final playoff spot in the West. Although the playoffs are out of the question, that hasn’t stopped the Sacramento Kings from playing some of their better basketball this season, winners of two straight and six of 10 overall. The Kings may only be 8-30 on the road this season, but they are coming off back-to-back wins in Golden State and Phoenix on Thursday night.
Although the Lakers have been the far superior team of the two over the last decade, that hasn’t stopped the Kings from holding their own against Los Angeles, winners of four of the past eight meetings while also covering in five of those games. In fact, the home team has generally come away with the win most of the time, having won the last six meetings and seven of the past nine.
