Los Angeles Clippers vs. Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets play host to the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night from the Toyota Center. The Rockets are -1.5 point favorites over the Clippers with an over/under point total set at 205.5.
Head to head, the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings and the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The Rockets are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Clippers on the other hand are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games playing on 0 days rest, but just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Coming off consecutive losses, the Houston Rockets need to string a couple more wins together to ensure they land one of the final playoff spots in the ever tougher Western Conference. Following their 103-94 defeat in Memphis last night, the Rockets still find themselves in seventh position, however, they only have a 2 ½ game lead over Utah and Los Angeles, the two teams who could effectively knock Houston out of the playoffs.
The Los Angeles Clippers locked up a playoff spot a while ago, but they haven’t been playing their best basketball of late. The Clippers are coming off a tough fought 104-102 loss in San Antonio on Friday night, one of the tough assignments in all of basketball, which was their sixth loss in their last 12 outings. Los Angeles currently sits in fourth spot in the West, but they are just ½ a game ahead of the fifth place Memphis Grizzlies.
Needless to say, this is an important game for both teams because of playoff seeding. While the Clippers are the better overall team, the Rockets have beaten the best of the best at home and are coming off a win over the Spurs in their last home games. I think the Rockets pull out another close one.

Pick
