Houston Rockets vs. Indiana Pacers

The Houston Rockets and the Indiana Pacers face off on Wednesday in a battle of post-season bound teams. The Rockets are -3 point favorites over the Pacers.
The Houston Rockets are in seventh place in the NBA Western Conference standings and while they are anything but a lock to make it they control their own destiny at this point. Houston has won three games in a row, seven of their last 10, and they are just a game behind Golden State for the sixth position in the West. The Rockets are averaging 106.4 points, they shoot 46.3 percent, and they grab 43.1 rebounds per game while defensively they allow 102.7 points and their opponents shoot 45.8 percent. The Rockets are shooting 37 percent from 3-point land and 75.5 percent from the three-point line. James Harden is averaging 26.3 points and 5.8 assists, Chandler Parsons is averaging 15.2 points and 5.4 rebounds, Jeremy Lin is averaging 13 points and 6.1 assists, and Omer Asik is averaging 10.2 points and 11.8 rebounds. Houston is a dangerous team who can beat anyone on any given night.
The Indiana Pacers are in third place in the Eastern Conference standings and they have already clinched a playoff spot. Indiana is 6-4 in their last 10 games, 15-19 on the road this season, and are just percentage points behind the Knicks for the number two spot in the East. As a team the Pacers are averaging 94.5 points, they are shooting 43.4 percent, and they grab 46.3 rebounds per game while defensively they allow 89.6 points and their opponents shoot 41.4 percent. The Pacers shoot 75 percent from the free throw line and they are shooting 35.6 percent from behind the 3-point line. Paul George is averaging 17.6 points and 7.8 rebounds, David West is averaging 17.3 points and 7.7 rebounds, George Hill is averaging 14.4 points, and Roy Hibbert is averaging 11 points and 8.2 rebounds. The Pacers have been one of the tougher teams in the NBA this season.
Houston is 9-4 against the spread in their last 13 home games, 19-9 against the spread against the Eastern Conference, 8-2 against the spread against a tem with a winning record, and 1-4 against the spread following a cover. Indiana is 2-5 against the spread playing on one days rest, 2-6 against the spread following a win, 3-10 against the spread in their last 13 road games against a team with a winning home record, and 0-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record. Indiana has covered the point spread in nine of the last 12 meetings of these two.
Indiana won the first meeting this year of these two by 10 points at home back on January 18th but I like the Rockets in this one at home.
