Detroit Pistons vs. Washington Wizards

The Washington Wizards seek their fifth straight victory as they head to Detroit to take on the Pistons. The Pistons are -2 point favorites over the Wizards with an over/under point total set at 188.
Head to head, the Wizards are 3-9 ATS in the last 12 meetings and 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings in Detroit, while the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Pistons are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400 and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 vs. NBA Southeast, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a double-digit loss at home. The Wizards on the other hand are 7-2 ATS in their last 9 road games, 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 10 points and 37-17-2 ATS in their last 56 games overall.
From a betting stand point, the Washington Wizards are probably the most underrated team in the NBA right now. The Wizards have been dynamite against the spread since John Wall returned last month and are 31-17-2 ATS on the season. Not only that, but Washington has covered in five straight and seven on nine on the road following their 102-90 victory at Milwaukee on Monday.
The Detroit Pistons on the other hand continue to be one of the more unpredictable teams in the league. Just in the past two weeks, the Pistons have had impressive wins at home against San Antonio and then the night after in Milwaukee, both as underdogs, while also thumping the visiting Cavaliers by 18 points at the start of February. However, then there’s the Detroit team suffered a 27 point home loss to Milwaukee and a 19 point defeat by New Orleans, both as favorites.
The Wizards have been rock solid lately, but only one of their four straight wins came on the road at Milwaukee in their last outing. Washington has played a good portion of their recent game at home and they didn’t look particularly great on their recent three-game losing streak at Philadelphia, Memphis and San Antonio, losing each by at least eight points. You can’t really explain the Pistons 19 home loss to New Orleans on Monday, but they did just take down San Antonio by double digits and they are generally pretty dangerous at home most of the time. Feels like this could go either way, but I think Detroit bounces back in a close one.
