Missouri Tigers vs. Georgia Bulldogs

The Missouri Tigers and Georgia Bulldogs face off on Wednesday night in SEC college basketball action. The Tigers are -14.5 point favorites over the Bulldogs.
The Missouri Tigers are coming off of a tough loss as they were blown out on the road on Saturday at Ole Miss. With Laurence Bowers out Mizzou had no answers for Ole Miss but Frank Haith’s team still has plenty of firepower left and the Tigers haven’t lost at home all year. As a team Ole Miss is averaging 76.9 points, 44.6 rebounds, and they are shooting 45.2 percent while defensively they are allowing 64.8 points, 10.9 assists, and their opponents are shooting 38 percent. Phil Pressey is averaging 13.4 points and 7.4 assists, Alex Oriakhi is averaging 10.2 points and 8.7 rebounds, and Earnest Ross is averaging 9.9 points and 5.4 rebounds. Missouri wasn’t even close in their last game and they can only hope home cooking gives them some answers here.
The Georgia Bulldogs have lost their first two SEC games of the season and overall it has been a tough season in Athens. Georgia is 0-5 away from home this season and at least in their last road game, at Florida, they weren’t even close. As a team Georgia is averaging 59.5 points, 11.7 assists, and they are shooting 40.6 percent while defensively they are allowing 62.1 points, 11.1 assists, and their opponents are shooting 40.1 percent. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is averaging 16.9 points and 6.7 rebounds, Nemanja Djurisic is averaging 8.1 points and 4.1 rebounds, and Charles Mann is averaging 5.9 points. Georgia just doesn’t have enough depth and firepower to hang with the better teams.
Missouri is 5-1-1 against the spread following games they didn’t cover the spread, 4-1 against the spread in their last five games overall, and 2-5 against the spread against the SEC. Georgia is 2-5 against the spread in their last seven games overall, 2-6 against the spread against a team with a winning record, and 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games.
Missouri is down without Bowers but Georgia is just plain down and look for Mizzou to put it to the Dawgs here.
