Mississippi Rebels vs. Arkansas Razorbacks

The Ole Miss Rebels and the Arkansas Razorbacks face off on Saturday in NCAA Basketball action for a SEC conference game. The Rebels are -9 point favorites over the Razorbacks.
The Ole Miss Rebels are tied for first place in the SEC and while it looked like their record was the product of a light schedule they have been getting it done within the conference as well. Ole Miss has played the 191st ranked schedule in the nation and they are a perfect 9-0 at home. As a team Mississippi is averaging 82.8 points, 12.9 assists, and they are shooting 44.9 percent while defensively they allow 64.6 points, 11.9 assists, and their opponents are shooting 38.6 percent. Marshall Henderson is averaging 19.1 points, Murphy Holloway is averaging 15.9 points and 10.6 rebounds, Reginald Buckner is averaging 10.4 points and 8.0 rebounds, and Nick Williams is averaging 10.1 points. Ole Miss still has plenty to prove but they look like a contender to make it to March Madness.
The Arkansas Razorbacks are off to a 2-1 start to their SEC schedule but it took two overtimes for them to finally take care of Auburn on Wednesday. Arkansas has yet to win a road game and they are 2-5 against teams with a RPI better than 100. As a team Arkansas is averaging 79.6 points, 15.8 assists, and they are shooting 46.1 percent while defensively they are allowing 68.4 points, 11.8 assists, and their opponents are shooting 41.9 percent. B.J. Young is averaging 17.4 points, Marshawn Powell is averaging 15.2 points and 5.8 rebounds, and Mardracus Wade is averaging 7.7 points. We have seen Arkansas get it done with high scoring and low scoring games but it is going to take plenty to get it done here.
Ole Miss is 5-0 against the spread in their last five games overall, 19-7 against the spread following a win, and 8-1 against the spread against the SEC. Arkansas is 4-11 against the spread in their last 15 games overall, 17-43 against the spread in their last 60 road games, and 1-5 against the spread in their last six games against the SEC. The road team has covered in five of the last seven meetings of these two.
I expect to Rebels to win this one and cover quite handily.
