Penn State may not be a contender in the Big Ten but they aren’t likely to get blown out too often.
The Indiana Hoosiers were the preseason number one and the choice by many to win it all but the Hoosiers and the public found out that winning it all and running the table are two different things. IU has been convincing in their wins and they have fallen just once, to Butler, and are ranked fifth in the nation. Indiana is going to have a chance to win every game but there aren’t going to be too many easy games in the Big Ten this season.
Penn State is 4-1 against the spread in their last five games, 1-3-1 against the spread in their last five Big Ten games, and 4-0 against the spread in their last four home games against a team with a winning road record. Indiana is 1-4 against the spread in their last five road games, 4-9 against the spread in their last 13 road games against a team with a winning home record, and 3-7 against the spread in their last 10 Monday games. The home team has covered the spread in the last four meetings of these two.
The line is set at 17 and while Indiana is much the best that is a lot of points to lay on the road in a conference game.
