Washington Redskins vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Washington Redskins and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers face off in their last preseason game before the regular NFL season begins. The Redskins are -3 point favorites over the Buccaneers with an over/under point total set at 43.
There is excitement this year for the Washington Redskins as Robert Griffin III could be the missing link to get the Skins back to the playoffs. Rex Grossman and Kirk Cousins should see plenty of action and the Redskins have a slew of young running backs like Alfred Morris. Washington has been looking for some receivers to step up and while Santana Moss and Pierre Garcon are set Leonard Hankerson Brandon Banks, and Aldrick Robinson should have a chance to show their stuff here. Defensively the Redskins are strong and they should benefit from a better offense and better QB play as they won’t be on the field all game long. One battle already settled is at kicker where Graham Gano beat out Neil Rackers.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are looking to improve over last season but with Davin Joseph already gone for the year they have holes to fill. While Greg Schiano is still going over his final cuts as a first year Head Coach it is likely there will be some surprises. Dan Orlovsky and Brett Ratliff should see action in this one and the Bucs have a slew of tight ends looking to make the team. Tampa Bay picked up Jordan Shipley off of waivers but it will be interesting to see if he makes the final roster. The Tampa Bay defense wasn’t as good as they have been in the past and that is Schiano’s specialty and there will be no free passes on this roster.
There isn’t much reason to watch this one but expect it to be pretty close and somewhat sloppy but it will definitely be the last time some of these guys ever take the field in an NFL game of any kind. Take Tampa here.
