On the mound starter mark Buehrle pitched well with the lead allowing six hits and two earned runs while striking out four over 7.0 innings to go to 11-11 on the year. For Tuesday’s game Miami starts Ricky Nolasco who has lost six of his last seven starts. For the year Nolasco has allowed 166 hits and 79 earned runs while striking out 94 over 144 innings of work for a 4.94 ERA.
Arizona is 4-1 in their last five games overall, 10-5 in their last 15 games as a favorite, and 5-2 in Cahill’s last seven starts as a favorite. Miami is 7-14 in their last 21 road games, 4-1 in their last five games two of a series, and 0-4 in Nolasco’s last four road starts. Miami is 5-2 in Nolasco’s last seven starts against Arizona.
