Oklahoma City Thunder vs. San Antonio Spurs
The Oklahoma City Thunder look to even the series up against the San Antonio Spurs in Game 4. The Thunder are -4 point favorites over the Spurs with an over/under point total set at 202.5.
Head to head, the Spurs are 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings in Oklahoma City. The Thunder are 8-3 ATS in their last 11 playoff games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5 and 4-1-1 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Spurs on the other hand are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 games following a S.U. loss, 16-6-1 ATS in their last 23 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 40-13-4 ATS in their last 57 games overall.
Did I take the Spurs in Game 3? I sure did, but can you really blame me after what they had done in the past 3 months leading into that game. The end result didn’t really surprise me because the Thunder are the second best team in the league and it’s clear they had all the energy and the Spurs had zero, right from the tip off. The more you think about it, San Antonio had to lose sometime or another, so I think they accept the loss and move onto Game 4.
Do I think the Thunder are suddenly better than the Spurs after dominating Game 3? Not at all. In fact, I think San Antonio goes back home with a 3-1 series lead. I said at the start of this series that that I think the Spurs win either Game 3 or Game 4 and I still believe that. Let’s not forgot this is the best road team in the league that has won 31 of their past 34 games overall. I’m still going to play it safe and take the points, because it’s Thunder, but I think the Spurs get the win here
