For the season Paulino has allowed 30 hits and seven earned runs while striking out 39 over 37 innings of work for a 1.70 ERA.
The Minnesota Twins got back to losing on Tuesday as it is going to be a long road back for a long time winner. Brian Dozier had two hits, Josh Willingham had a hit, and Darin Mastroianni had a hit as the Twins had five hits but failed to score on Tuesday. On the mound Francisco Liriano allowed four hits and a run while striking out eight over six innings for his sixth loss of the season. For Wednesday’s game Minnesota starts Nick Balckburn who returns from the 15 day disabled list. For the season Blackburn has allowed 46 hits and 31 earned runs while striking out while striking out 19 over 33.1 innings for an 8.37 ERA.
Kansas City is 7-2 in their last nine game three of a series, 8-20 in their last 28 home games, and 8-3 in Paulino’s last 11 starts. Minnesota is 13-28 in their last 41 road games, 15-37 in their last 52 games against a team with a losing record, and 1-5 in Blackburn’s last six starts as a road underdog. Minnesota is 5-2 in their last seven games in Kansas City.
This one looks to be a pretty easy one as the Royals should have no issue at all getting the win in a confidence booster.
