Utah Jazz vs. San Antonio Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs look to make it a series sweep as they take on the Utah Jazz for game four tonight. The Spurs are -8 favorites over the Jazz with an over/under point total set at 198.5.
The Jazz put together their best performance of the series in game three, but it still wasn’t enough as they still fell short by 102-90 to the Spurs. Al Jefferson couldn’t get many touches in the low post, but he was definitely feeling it as he made plenty of outside jumpers to finish with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Devin Harris Harris matched him with 21 points of his own. Derrick Favors showed plenty of hustle to finish with 15 points and 11 boards off the bench, but Gordon Hayward and Paul Millsap disappointed with a combined 13 points on five of 22 shooting.
On the other hand, the Spurs were once again led by Tony Parker who had trouble getting into the paint, but still finished with a game-high 27 points, while Tim Duncan scored 17 points. Other than Parker, no player had a big scoring game but that’s been the story with the Spurs; they just share the ball so well and just have so many players that contribute on the scoresheet.
The Spurs have been beating the Jazz in just about every aspect of the game and while the Jazz will be desperate to avoid a sweep, I can already see the brooms. The Jazz really did play well in game three, but the Spurs simply outlasted them with their depth and I expect more of the same tonight.
