San Antonio Spurs vs. Oklahoma City Thunder

The Oklahoma City Thunder will be looking to avoid falling two games back of the Spurs on Tuesday when OKC faces the Spurs in Texas.  The Spurs are -4.5 point favorites over the Thunder with an over/under point total set at 202.

The San Antonio Spurs started off their Western Conference finals series right as the Spurs defeated the Thunder 101-98 on Sunday. The Spurs were in a battle for sure, but San Antonio mustered up just enough to get the win and to take the first game of the series. Leading the Spurs against the Thunder on Sunday was Manu Ginobili who had a monster game for the Spurs, as Ginobili finished with 26 points on the night, while aces Tony Parker and Tim Duncan also finished in double digit points on the night.

The Oklahoma City Thunder did everything they could to get the win over the red hot Spurs on Sunday, but in the end the Thunder just didn’t quite have enough in the tank. OKC actually held the lead at the break, and at the end of the third quarter the Thunder looked to be pulling away from the Spurs. San Antonio came back in a big way in the final quarter, and was able to hold off a late surge by the Thunder. Leading Oklahoma City against the Spurs on Sunday was Kevin Durant who finished with 27 points and 10 rebounds on the night.

The Spurs have dominated the Thunder lately as San Antonio is an incredible 9-1 overall in their last ten games against the Thunder, while going a solid 7-3 against the spread in that ten game stretch.

The Spurs are an incredible team, but it’s hard to overlook how well the Thunder played on Sunday. I think there is some value here with OKC, and even though the Thunder may not get the win over the Spurs on Tuesday, I’ll take the points in what looks to be a coin flip game for me.
