Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers

The 76ers return home to face the Toronto Raptors tonight.  The 76ers are -8.5 point favorites over the Raptors with an over/under point total set at 182.5.

Head to head, the Raptors are 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings and 17-5-2 ATS in the last 24 meetings in Philadelphia, while the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last 7 meetings. The 76ers are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home favorite of 5.0-10.5 and 18-6 ATS in their last 24 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400, but just 0-5 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest. The Raptors on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5 and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest.

While Philadelphia owns the far superior overall record here, I’m not sure there’s a heap of differences between these two teams at the moment. The 76ers are a shade of what they were since the opening month or two of the season and they have only won four of their last 10 overall, the exact same number as the Raptors. The 76ers have won the last three meetings between the two, however the Raptors have won six of the last 10.

Philly are still capable of handing out a big loss and that’s a big possibility tonight. Having said that, the Raptors really aren’t as bad as people say they are and they do show up against the better teams on the road. Philly might win this one by double digits, but I just don’t have a whole lot of confidence now so I’ll gladly take the points and run with it.
