San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trail Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers head to San Antonio on Monday to face off against the Southwest division champ Spurs.  The Spurs are -13.5 point favorites over the Trail Blazers with an over/under point total set at 206.

The San Antonio Spurs have been one of the top teams in the league all season long as the Spurs easily took care of business in their division. The Spurs have the second ranked scoring offense in the league this season as San Antonio is scoring an impressive 103.2 points per game, while giving up a respectable 96.4 on average. The Spurs are still playing to win even after securing their playoff spot as the Spurs have won their last seven outings heading into Monday’s match-up with the Trail Blazers.

The Portland Trail Blazers are a quality team, Portland just wasn’t able to put it all together as the Trail Blazers are just under the .500 mark on the year with a record of 28-36. The Trail Blazers are balanced if they are anything as Portland is scoring an average of 97.4 points per game, and the Trail Blazers are giving up that exact amount as Portland is allowing 97.4 points per game on average.

The total has gone over for the Spurs in all five of their last five games, and the Spurs have been solid at home as San Antonio is 11-1-1 against the spread in their last 13 home games. The Trail Blazers have struggled on the road as Portland is just 1-7 overall in their last eight road games, and the Trail Blazers have dropped their last five games.

This is a lot of points to give here, but I say give them. The Spurs have been the play when they are at home lately, and with the Trail Blazers struggling so bad lately, I just don’t see Portland being competitive here as the Spurs should cruise here.
