Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Memphis Grizzlies
Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder seek their sixth straight win on Monday night as they play host to the Memphis Grizzlies. The Thunder are -8 point favorites over the Grizzlies with an over/under point total set at 198.
Head to head, the Grizzlies are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings and the favorite is 5-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings. The Thunder are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. The Grizzlies on the other hand are 32-13-1 ATS in their last 46 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, but just 5-14 ATS in their last 19 road games vs. a team with a winning home record and 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games overall.
After another dominating performance against the team with the league’s best record, albeit without the reigning MVP playing, the Thunder continue to stamp their mark as championship favorites. During their current six game winning streak, Oklahoma City have taken down the likes of both the Los Angeles teams, Minnesota, Miami and last night’s 92-78 win over the visiting Bulls. What’s more impressive, each of those six wins have all come by nine points or greater. While Memphis can’t compare to anything Oklahoma City have done lately, they are starting to turn things around with three wins in their last four outings, including impressive road victories at Los Angeles and Milwaukee.
Even though the Thunder has been dominating opponents for the best part of two weeks now, you have to like the Grizzlies chances here. Everyone remembers the final series between these two teams just gone and this season’s battles haven’t been any different, with Oklahoma City winning all three meetings. Having said that, all of the games were decided by seven points or less, so Memphis was right there in each one. In what should be a great game, look for the Grizzlies to be hanging around near the end
