Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Atlanta Braves

The Los Angeles Dodgers and the Atlanta Braves meet for game two of their series in Los Angles.  The Braves are -120 favorites over the Dodgers with an over/under run total set at 7.5.

The Los Angeles Dodgers jumped on the Braves early on Monday and never looked back as they grabbed the win in game one of their series.  On Monday Juan Uribe had four hits and three RBI’s, Andre Ethier had three hits, and Matt Kemp had two hits as the Dodgers had 15 hits in all and scored seven runs. On the mound Chris Capuano allowed six hits and run while striking out five over seven innings to get the win. For Tuesday’s game Los Angeles starts Aaron Harang who struck out 10 batters ina row two games back. For the season Harang has allowed 19 hits and 11 runs while striking out 23 over 16.2 innings for a 5.40 ERA.

The Atlanta Braves are improving but they never got out of the gate in Los Angles on Monday. On Monday Dan Uggla had two hits, a RBI, and scored a run, Freddie Freeman had two hits, and David Ross had a hit, a RBI, and scored a run. On the mound Jair Jurrjens had a rough go of it allowing nine hits and five runs over just three innings for his second loss of the year. For Tuesday’s rematch Atlanta starts Mike Minor who has won his last two starts. For the season Minor has allowed 13 hits and seven runs while striking out 19 over 20.1 innings of work for a 3.10 ERA.

Los Angeles is 4-1 in game two of a series, 38-14 in their last 52 games overall, and 1-5 in their alst six games a home underdog. Atlanta is 5-0 in their last five games as a road favorite, 10-3 in their last 13 games overall, and 1104 in Minor’s last 14 starts. Atlanta is 1-5 in the last six meetings of these two.

The total is set at 7.5 but I have it coming in under this modest number.
