Los Angeles Clippers vs. Sacramento Kings
The Los Angeles Clippers hope to avoid back-to-back losses when they travel to Sacramento to take on the Kings tonight. The Clippers are -2.5 point favorites over the Kings with an over/under point total set at 194.
The Clippers are fresh off a Kobe Bryant and Andrew Bynum beating as they combined for 67 points to pip the Clippers by 113-108 last night. For the Clippers, the defense was their main problem as they really didn’t have anyone to slow down Bynum, but their offense was pretty balanced with Caron Butler scoring 28 points, while Chris Paul had 22 points and a season-high 16 assists. Last night’s loss snapped LA’s six-game win streak.
Meanwhile, a career-high of 41 points from DeMarcus Cousins wasn’t enough for the Kings who fell to the Suns by 109-100 for their seventh loss in nine games. Isaiah Thomas and Terrence Williams were the only other real contributors for the Kings as they added 41 points, while the rest of the team shot a miserable 22.2 percent from the field, including zero of nine from the three-point line.
Head to head, the Clippers won the first meeting of the season by 108-100 on Mar 1. but the Kings are 4-1-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Sacramento, but 1-3-1 ATS in the last five meetings overall.
This is kind of a tough game to pick, because the Kings are actually much better at home than they are on the road, but even though I’m not too confident, I have to side with the Clippers in this one because they could have a similar problem guarding Cousins, but the Kings don’t have the talent around him to trouble the Clippers like the Lakers had.
