Orlando Magic vs. Indian Pacers

The Orlando Magic and Indiana Pacers collide for the fourth and final time this season.  The Magic are -4 point favorites over the Pacers with an over/under point total set at 186.5.

It’s been a strange old season series for the Magic and Pacers, with the road team winning all three meetings, in fact, the road team has now won six of the past seven meetings between these two. In their first showdown of the season, Orlando cruised to a comfortable 102-83 victory, behind a game high 24 points and eight rebounds from Ryan Anderson. However, Indiana would get the payback they were looking for in their next meeting as Danny Granger scored 24 points to lead his team to a 106-85 win. Staying true to form, the Magic took out the most recent meeting between the two, pulling out a tough fought 85-81 victory in Indiana, behind 27 points from Dwight Howard.

Head to head, the Pacers are 1-4 ATS in the last 5 meetings, while the road team is 4-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings and the underdog is 8-3 ATS in the last 11 meetings. The Magic are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a home favorite and 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall. The Pacers on the other hand are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 games as a road underdog of 5.0-10.5, 7-23 ATS in their last 30 games playing on 0 days rest and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games overall.

I’m going against past results and saying that the Magic pull out the cover and the win here. It kind of feels like Orlando haven’t been playing up to standards recently, however they have still won six of their last nine overall, including Thursday’s impressive road victory in Chicago. Indiana on the other hand will find it tough to get up after last night’s emotional overtime loss in Miami. Going with the Magic in this one.
