Milwaukee Bucks vs. Memphis Grizzlies

The Milwaukee Bucks continue their charge towards a playoff spot as they host the Memphis Grizzlies.  The Bucks are -1.5 point favorites over the Grizzlies with an over/under point total set at 203.

Head to head, the Grizzlies are 2-5 ATS in the last 7 meetings, but 7-3 ATS in the last 10 meetings in Milwaukee. The underdog is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings and the road team is 8-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings. The Bucks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games and 11-3 ATS in their last 14 games overall, but just 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games vs. a team with a winning S.U. record. The Grizzlies on the other hand are 23-4 ATS in their last 27 games playing on 0 days rest, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games and 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games overall.

After posting back to back wins over the Lakers and Timberwolves, I thought the Grizzlies were back on track and poised to make their charge towards the playoffs. However, a loss to a Houston team missing their starting backcourt on Friday night just confirms they aren’t over their struggles. Even with Zach Randolph back in the lineup, the Grizzles have now dropped six of nine and currently occupy the sixth spot out West, however they are only 1 ½ games up on nine place Utah. On the other side, Milwaukee continued they improved play after a dominating 121-84 win over the slumping Cleveland Cavaliers on Friday night. The Bucks have now won seven of 10 overall and currently trail eight place New York by 1 ½ games.

I really thought the Grizzlies were going to make a statement in last night’s game in Houston, however they trailed for the most part and never really looked like winning. While I think Memphis could pull this one out, Milwaukee are just playing too good at the moment and every win gets them closer to stealing the last playoff spot in the East. In what should be a great game, I think the Bucks pull this one out in the end.
