Philadelphia 76ers vs. Charlotte Bobcats

The Milwaukee Bucks look for their third straight win over the visiting Miami Heat when the two collide from the Bradley Center.  The Heat are -6.5 point favorites over the Bucks with an over/under point total set at 201.

After starting their six game road trip off with a disappointing 102-89 loss in Orlando, the Heat have since ripped off two straight blowout victories after their dominating 107-87 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday night. The Bucks on the other hand lost to the same Orlando team in their last outing, after posting consecutive road win at Toronto and Cleveland.

The Heat come into tonight’s game tied with Chicago for the fewest losses in the East, yet two of those defeats have come at the hands of the Bucks, who also won the last regular season between the two teams last season. Milwaukee have done a good job on Miami defensively as they held them to a season low 37% shooting in their 91-82 victory in their first meeting of the season in South Beach. Despite opening up a big lead and getting a season high 40 points from Lebron James, the Heat couldn’t get the revenge they were looking for in the most recent meeting at the start of the month as they once again fell to the Bucks 105-97.

Head to head, the  Heat are 0-4 ATS in the last 4 meetings and the underdog is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The Bucks are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 vs. Eastern Conference and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall. The Heat on the other hand are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games playing on 0 days rest and 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games as a road favorite of 5.0-10.5.

The Bucks proved with their latest win over the Heat that the previous two victories were no flukes, yet, they remain a healthy home underdog tonight, but I’m not biting. Call me a sucker, but I think Miami gets a little payback tonight. They were well on their way to doing that in the most recent meeting, before letting Milwaukee back into the game. It wouldn’t shock me if the Bucks won again here, but I think the Heat make this personal tonight.
