Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Utah Jazz

The Oklahoma City Thunder look to bounce back as they travel to Utah to face the Jazz.  The Thunder are -1 point favorites over the Jazz with an over/under point total set at 200.5.

The Jazz struggles continue on the road as they dropped recent games at New York and Indiana and have now dropped four of five overall. Utah are one of the better teams at home in the league, posting a 11-4 record at EnergySolutions Arena, however they are just 2-7 on the road. The Thunder on the other hand are coming off a rare loss on Thursday night as they fell to the Sacremento Kings 106-101. It’s possible that fatigue could of played an issue in the loss as that was their fifth game in the last seven nights for Oklahoma City.

Head to head, the Thunder are 4-1-1 ATS in the last 6 meetings and 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings in Utah, while the road team and underdog is 4-0-1 ATS in the last 5 meetings. The Jazz are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog of 0.5-4.5 and 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games, but just 0-7 ATS in their last 7 home games vs. a team with a winning road record. The Thunder on the other hand are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5 and 40-19-1 ATS in their last 60 games as a road favorite of 0.5-4.5.

There’s no doubt the Jazz have been great at home this season, however they are 0-7 against the spread in their last seven home games against teams with a winning road record, which is exactly what OKC are. Now there are some factors going against the Thunder here as they played last night and this will be their fifth road game in seven nights. The Jazz on the other hand are coming off back to back losses and they have had two days to prepare for this game. All things aside, I just can’t see the Thunder losing two straight games, especially on the national TV. The Thunder are heavy public favorites here, but I’m not betting against them.
