Boston Celtics vs. Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls look to continue their dominance over the Boston Celtics when the two collide tonight.  The Bulls are -2.5 point favorites over the Bulls with an over/under point total set at 176.

After winning a season high five straight games, the Celtics have hit a bump in the road with back to back losses against Los Angeles and Toronto. The Bulls on the other hand have had no trouble continuing to pile up the wins with Derrick Rose on the sidelines as they have won five straight road games and hold the league’s best record.

Derrick Rose was available for the first meeting of the season in Boston as he scored a game high 25 points to lead the Bulls to an 88-79 victory. Chicago controlled the game for the first two and a half quarters as they held a 61-41 advantage, before Boston would go on a 25-6 run to close the gap to 67-66 two minutes in the fourth quarter. However, the Bulls would steady the ship and eventually came away with the win. Luol Deng also added 21 points for Chicago, while Ray Allen had 16 and Rajon Rondo added 14 and 11 assists for Boston.

Head to head, the Bulls are 6-1 ATS in the last 7 meetings, while the favorite is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The Celtics are 13-5-1 ATS in their last 19 games as a home underdog, but just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games overall. The Bulls on the other hand are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 road games and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 vs. Eastern Conference, but just 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games as a favorite of 0.5-4.5.

Looking at the Bulls recent scores, you wouldn’t know that Derrick Rose has been missing as Chicago has been absolutely blowing opponents out of the water as they have won their last four games by an average of 24.5 points, all on the road mind you. Not only that, but the Bulls have won the last three against the Celtics by an average of 12 points per game. This one’s pretty simple, If Derrick Rose plays I like Chicago to continue their winning streak.
