Orlando Magic vs. Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers look to continue their dominance at home as they host the reeling Orlando Magic. The 76ers are -6.5 point favorites over the Magic.
Another home game and another win for the 76ers as they won their 10th game of the season at Well Fargo Center with a dominate 95-74 victory over the Detroit Pistons on Saturday night. Andre Iguodala celebrated his 28th birthday with his eighth career triple double as he posted 10 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in Philly’s win over the slumping Pistons. The 76ers are now 3-1 on their seven game home stand, however things are going to get considerably tougher as they host the Bulls and Heat after tonight’s contest.
It’s been a week to forget for the Orlando Magic. After scoring just 56 points in a loss at Boston, Orlando bounced back with an emphatic 19 point victory at Indiana to win for the seventh time in nine games. However, it all went downhill after that as they let a 27 point lead slip away in their rematch with Boston and then they were held to just 67 points against a New Orleans team that was riding a nine game losing streak heading into Friday night’s match. Dwight Howard was good against the Hornets with 28 points and 16 rebounds, but he was alone as no other Magic player managed to reach double digits in scoring.
Head to head, the Magic are 8-2 ATS in the last 10 meetings and Magic are 5-0 ATS in the last 5 meetings in Philadelphia, while the road team is 4-0 ATS in the last 4 meetings. The 76ers are 11-2 ATS in their last 13 home games and 16-5-1 ATS in their last 22 games overall. The Magic on the other hand are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600 and 5-2 ATS in their last 7 road games, but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
Given how Orlando have struggled and Philly have dominated at home this season, you have to go with the 76ers here. Not only that, Orlando is on a back to back and this will be their fourth road game in a week, while Philly has only travelled once since the 16 of January. Philly all the way here.
