Denver Nuggets vs. Milwaukee Bucks
The Milwaukee Bucks return to face the visiting Denver Nuggets The Nuggets are -2.5 point favorites over the Bucks with an over/under point total set at 200.5.
The Bucks remain winless on the road after falling to the red hot Philadelphia 76ers 94-82 on Monday night to fall to 0-8 away from home this season. It’s been like night and day for Milwaukee who are a perfect 4-0 at home this season. In their eight away losses, they are averaging just 86.4 points per game on 40.6% shooting, while at they are averaging 102 points on 48.5% shooting.
The Nuggets couldn’t back up their big win against Miami as they fell the visiting Utah Jazz on Sunday night 106-96 to drop to 8-5 on the season. Two days after knocking off the star studded Miami Heat 117-104, Denver allowed Utah to shoot 51.8% from the field as they dropped their third game in their last five contests.
In their first meeting of the season, Danilo Gallinari scored a then season high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Al Harrington added 17 points as the Denver outscored the Bucks 23-12 in the final quarter to secure a 91-86 victory. Stephen Jackson led Milwaukee with 17 points.
Head to head, the Nuggets are 16-6-1 ATS in the last 23 meetings, while the home team is 6-2-1 ATS in the last 9 meetings and the underdog is 5-2-1 ATS in the last 8 meetings. The Bucks are 5-11 ATS in their last 16 games overall, however they are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games as a home underdog and 8-3 ATS in their last 11 home games vs. a team with a losing road record. The Nuggets on the other hand are 20-6 ATS in their last 26 road games and 24-10-2 ATS in their last 36 games as a favorite.
Beating Milwaukee at home is no easy feat, which the Nuggets will find out tonight. Even though Milwaukee does have a nice win over San Antonio, the Spurs are a below average road team and their other wins have come against Detroit, Washington and Minnesota, not the strongest competition. Even though Denver will be the heavy public play, I think they got a wakeup call against Utah and I like them to win a close one here.
