Tennessee Titans vs. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts search for their first win of the season while visiting AFC South foe Tennessee Titans.  The Titans are -9 point favorites over the Colts with an over/under point total set at 43.5.

The Indianapolis Colts were absolutely slaughtered on Sunday Night Football by the New Orleans Saints in week seven, 62-7.  The beatings haven’t all been that severe this season, as Indy has actually battled in a few close games.  Traveling to Nashville doesn’t represent the strongest option to win a game though as the Titans will be looking to rebound from back to back losses to the Steelers and Texans.  You have to wonder at this point if Dan Orlovsky gives this team the best chance to win a football game.  And the defense is just giving up way too many yards and deep plays.

The Tennessee Titans got destroyed at home against the Houston Texans in their latest game (coming off a bye).  The Titans haven’t truly reaped the benefits of Chris Johnson just yet, but Tennessee is still a .500 team early on in a winnable division.  CJ will break out here with 100+ yards and 1+ TD against the Colts defense.  Matt Hasslebeck may begin to learn other receivers’ names as well and get back on track.  Cortland Finnegan will shut either Pierre Garcon or Reggie Wayne down.

When you’re the worst team in football, you tend to get more points than the numbers dictate.  The problem is I think the Colts are just lousy this year and that Chris Johnson gets his “have fun again” week here.   Ill take the Titans minus the nine in a game that should not be very close at all.
