Denver Nuggets vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunder look to make it 2-0 when they take on the Denver Nuggets in Game two. The Thunder is 5-point favorites over the Nuggets with an over/under total set at 208 points.
Kevin Durant scored 41 points and Russell Westbrook added 31 of his own as the Thunder came away with a 107-103 victory of the Nuggets in game on Sunday night. Durant and Westbrook became the first players since the franchise moved to Oklahoma City to each score 30 points in a playoff game, but it was the Kendrick Perkins late tip in that was the talking point of the game. Perkinss tipped in a Westbrook miss with 1:06 remaining to put Oklahoma City up 102-101. Several Nuggets players look for the tip in to be waved off, but it wasn’t to be and the Thunder eventually came away with the win. Nene had 22 points and eight rebounds to lead Denver, which used a well-rounded effort after dealing away its only All-Star, Carmelo Anthony, at the trade deadline.
The Thunder are 4-1 against the spread in their last five playoff games as a favorite of 1-4 points, but just 1-4 against the spread in their last five games as a home favorite. The Nuggets are 12-2 against the spread in their last 14 games as a road underdog and 20-6 against the spread in their last 26 when their opponent allows 100 points or more in their previous game. Head to head, the Thunder are 10-4 against the spread in the last 14 meetings and 6-2 against the spread in the last eight meetings in Oklahoma City. The over is 8-3 in the last 11 meetings in Oklahoma City.
The Thunder has now won three straight meetings against the Nuggets, which has to be a little worrying for Nuggets fans. Even though the Nuggets didn’t get the win they were looking for in game one, they were right theyre at the end of game and hadn’t the Perkins tip been allowed, who would of known what would of happened. Call me crazy, but I think the Nuggets get the win here, but will take the points as insurance. Â Take the Nuggets plus the 5-points.
