Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. North Carolina Tar Heels

The North Carolina Tar Heels are 24-point home favorite over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.  The over/under for the game is 155.  The North Carolina Tar Heels are 18-6 on the season and 12-9 against the spread.  Their conference record in the ACC is 8-2.  North Carolina is 6-1 in its last seven games and 7-0 against the spread.  Their only loss in that span was a 79-73 loss to Duke last Wednesday.  They did cover the 10-points they were getting on the road.  On Saturday, they beat Clemson 64-62 as 2-point road underdogs.  The der is 2-0 in North Carolinas last two games as they have scored an average of 68.5 points in those two games.  In North Carolinas previous five games the er was 5-0 and the Tar Heels averaged 85.6 points per game.  The er is 6-2 in North Carolinas home games this year.  The Tar Heels average 82.3 points per game at home but only 74.8 points per game on the road.

Wake Forest is struggling this season as they are 8-17 overall and 7-14 against the spread.  They find themselves in last place in the ACC Conference with a record of 1-9.  Wake Forest is in the midst of a four game losing streak and has lost thirteen of their last fifteen games.  Wake Forests last game was against NC State on Saturday when they lost 80-55 as 6-point home underdogs.  Leading scorer Travis McKie was the only player to score in double figures for the Demon Deacons.   Wake Forest is 0-7 in road games this year and 2-5 against the spread.  The er is 6-1 in those road games.  This will be a tough match-up for the Demon Deacons as they have only one player over 67.  Wake Forest is 10th in the ACC in scoring with 68.8 points per game and last in defense, giving up 76.9 points per game.

These two teams have split in their last four games with each team winning twice.  They have also split against the spread.  Last season North Carolina beat Wake Forest 77-68 as a seven-point road underdog.  Tonights game should not be close.  I do not like to lay 24-points ever so I will stay off the game.  I expect North Carolina to put up a ton of points therefore I will bet the er, which is 155.
