PGA-Pebble Beach

The PGA makes its annual trip to Pebble Beach for the AT&T Pro-Am. This is one of the most fun events of the year not only because of the history, tradition and beauty of the three Pebble Beach courses, but also because famous actors, musicians, and athletes are allowed to play along side the PGA pros. Dustin Johnson has won here 2 years in a row. Other previous winners in the field include Phil Mickelson, Vijay Singh, and Davis Love III. A glance at the recent winners and their form leading into the competition would appear to suggest that a player needs to be playing well in order to win the tournament, which is played on three different courses.

Here are my three picks to win this years tournament.  Make sure to log-on to to place your bets.

Phil Mickelson 7-1

Mickelson is a three time winner here and finished tied for 4th last year at the U.S. Open last year. He was tied for 29th last week in Phoenix but did finish second at Torrey Pines two weeks ago.  I think Phil has an excellent shot at getting his first win of the year this week.

Nick Watney 16-1

Watney is coming off back to back top ten finishes at Torrey Pines and Scottsdale. He only has one top ten in seven starts at Pebble but he did rank tenth in par 5 birdies last season.  I believe come Sunday that Watney will be in contention to win.

J.B. Holmes 33-1

Holmes was tied for 5th last week in Phoenix. He was tied for the runner-up at this event last year, and has never failed to make the cut in 4 tries playing this course. He is my dark horse pick to win the whole thing.

Remember, Golf is one of the most profitable sports to bet on. Savvy gamblers can get great odds on golfers who have been playing well.  Research past years and you can find a player that consistently plays well on certain courses.  After you do that research make sure to place your wager at
