Oklahoma St. Cowboys vs. Kansas Jayhawks
The Kansas Jayhawks are 17-point home favorites over the Oklahoma St. Cowboys in Big 12 action this Monday evening. The over/under total for the game is 144. The Oklahoma State Cowboys will try and snap a three-game losing streak tonight.
Oklahoma St. is 16-10 overall on the year and 10-11 against the spread. In their last eleven games they have only been able to win three of those after starting the season winning thirteen of their first fifteen games. The Cowboys Big 12 Conference record is only 4-8. Marshall Moses and Keiton Page are both averaging close to 14 points a game to lead the Cowboys. Moses also leads the team in rebounds with 7.4, but Oklahoma State is without its second leading rebounder Darrell Williams, who has been suspended indefinitely. The Cowboys are shooting 43.4 percent from the field and averaging 69 points a game. The der is 6-2 in the Cowboys last eight road games.
The Kansas Jayhawks are 25-2 overall and 14-11 against the spread. They sit one game behind Texas in conference play. The Jayhawks conference record is 10-2. Kansas will most likely lose its No.1 ranking after a shocking 84-68 loss to Kansas State last Monday as a six-point road favorite, but were able to bounce back with an 89-63 win over Colorado as a 15-point home favorite this past Saturday. Twin brothers, Marcus and Markieff Morris continue to provide the bulk of the production for Kansas. Marcus leads the team with 16.7 points per game, while his brother is averaging 13.3 points per game and a team-high 8.4 rebounds per game. The Jayhawks are ranked first in the nation with a field goal percentage of 52.1 and fourth in scoring with an average of 83.5 points a game. The er is 8-1 in Kansas last nine-conference games.
This game could be a lot closer than many expect. The Cowboys have good size to match-up with the Jayhawks. Although, I cant see Oklahoma St winning a do think they will keep the game reasonably close and will take the 17 points. The Jayhawks are a team that could be holding the March Madness trophy as national champions but they better not overlook the Oklahoma St. Cowboys this evening.
