Kansas Jayhawks vs. Kansas St. Wildcats

As March Madness nears closer, the Kansas Jayhawks are the #1 team in the country.  Tonight, they play the in-state rival the Kansas St. Wildcats on the road.  Kansas is 5-point road favorites against the Wildcats and the over/under is set at 148.

Kansas St. is 16-9 overall and 9-13 against the spread.  The Wildcats enter the game off a 58-56 defeat at Colorado on Saturday.  It was the first time in seven years that they were swept by Colorado.  Saturdays loss came as a 1-point underdog and snapped a two game winning streak for them.  It was their third loss in four games though against the spread.  Both games against Colorado stayed der the total, continuing the trend with the under being 14-5 this season.

Kansas is 24-1 on the season and 13-10 against the spread.  They are currently on a six game win streak.  On Saturday they easily beat Iowa St. 89-66 at home.  Marcus and Markieff Morris each recorded double-doubles in the victory; Marcus scoring 16 points with 11 boards while Markieff added 14 points and the same rebound total.  All six games during the Jayhawks win streak have gone er the total.  The er is 14-7 on the season and 5-0 in conference play.  Kansas is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games.

The Jayhawks beat Kansas St. 90-66 at home on January 29th as 10-point home favorites.  The Morris Brothers came up big in that game as well, combining for 30 points and 18 rebounds.  It was the seventh straight game the Jayhawks beat the Wildcats and they have covered in five of those seven games.  The er is 5-2 in the last seven of this series.  The last time Kanas St. beat Kansas win in January of 2008 when they won 84-75 as seven-point home underdogs.

The Jayhawks will be too much for the Wildcats to handle.  The Jayhawks should roll into March Madness with a #1 seed in the tournament and should roll in this game as well.  I am going to lay the 5-points and take the Jayhawks.  Sportsbook.com has futures bets as well.  Placing a bet on the Kansas Jayhawks to win the March Madness Tournament now could pay off big dividends in the future.  For tonight just lay the points with Kansas.
