Villanova Wildcats vs. Syracuse Orangemen

The Syracuse Orangemen are a 5.5-point home favorite over the Villanova Wildcats in this featured match-up of two teams in the top 10.  The over/under total for the game is 140.  Over 30,000 fans are expected to pack the Carrier Dome on the campus of Syracuse University for this game.  Be sure to check out this game and place a wager on it at

Villanova is 6-0 verses the spread in their last six games with the tal going 3-3.  Syracuse is 3-3 verses the spread in their last six games.  Villanovas 11 game winning-streak came to an end Monday when they lost to UConn 61-59 as a 2.5-point road dog.  The 120 combined points went well below the tal of 141 bringing the der to 3-1 in Villanovas last four games.   Villanova improved to 3-3 against the spread in its last six road games, with the er dropping to 4-2.

Syracuse lost its first game of the year Monday to the Pittsburgh Panthers 74-66.  In the game, they were a 6.5-point road underdog, failing to cover.  The 140 combined points just surpassed the er which was 138.  The er is 2-1 in Syracuses last three games.  Syracuse is 5-6 against the spread in its first eleven home games, with the under going 7-4 in these contests.  Syracuse is averaging 77.8 points per game at home.

Syracuse won last Februarys game between these Big East Rivals, 95-77, as a 4.5-point home favorite.  Villanova is 3-1 against the spread in its last four meetings against Syracuse, with the er also going 3-1.

In this match-up of top teams, I believe the team that has the fewest turnovers will win the game.  That being said, I believe that Villanova has the advantage at the guard play.  I will take Villanova plus the 5.5 points and will parlay that with the er which is 140.  The pace of this game should be frantic and exciting.  I will not be surprised if Villanova wins the game outright.  I will also be taking Villanova with the moneyline, which is at +170 now.

Parlay- Villanova +5.5 and over 140

Villanova +170
