Green Bay Phoenix vs. Butler Bulldogs

The Butler Bulldogs are a 14.5-pont home favorite over the Green Bay Phoenix in Horizon League play.   The over/under total is set at 139.  Butler is 13-6 overall and 10-6 verse the spread this year.  Butler has not lost more than six games in a season since 2007.  The Butler Bulldogs cant afford too many more losses if they hope to play in the NCAA tournament this March.  They have played in the tournament the last year and made it to the championship game last year before losing to the Duke Blue Devils.

Butler has two of the best players in the conference in guard Shevlin Mack and Center Matt Howard.  They combine for over 31 points per game.  The Butler Bulldogs lost their last game, which was Sunday, when they traveled to Wright St. and lost 69-64 as a four-point favorite.  The combined 133 points scored went er the 126-point total.  The er is 4-0 in Butlers last four games and 11-6 on the season.  Butler is 7-1 at home this year and 4-2 against the spread at home.  Their conference home record is 3-0 and they are 2-1 against the spread.

Green Bay is 10-9 on the season and 7-6 against the spread this year.  Green Bay has the youngest coach in college basketball, as first-year coach Brian Wardle is only 31-ears-old.  Green Bay is coming into this game winning its last four games.  Green Bay leading scorer is guard Rahmon Fletcher who averages 16.7 points per game.  Guard, Brquis Perine also scores 12.1 points per game.  Both are excellent three-point shooters.  Green Bay is only 2-5 away from home this year but is 4-3 against the spread in those games.  The er is 5-2 in road games.

Butler won and vered both meetings between the teams last year.  Butler is also 4-1 against the spread in its last five home games versus Green Bay.  The er is 5-1 in the last six at Buler.  The trends in this game heavily lean towards taking Butler and the over.  Therefore, those are my plays Butler minus 14.5 and over 139.
