Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers and the Baltimore Ravens get to do battle for a third time in this Saturdays divisional playoff round.  The opening line for the game has the Pittsburgh Steelers favored by 3.5 points, with an over/ under total of 36.5.

The Baltimore Ravens are coming off a 30-7 win last week over the Kansas City Chiefs while Pittsburgh was resting and getting healthy.  The Baltimore Ravens are one of the leagues hottest teams right now winning five straight games while covering the spread in four of the last 5.  The Pittsburgh Steelers have also played very well towards the end of the season winning six of their last seven games. Still they are only 5-3 at home compared to being 7-1 on the road this season.

Pittsburgh and Baltimore have split in their two previous meetings with the road team winning each time and covering the point spread.  However, in the early season match when the Baltimore Ravens won in Pittsburgh, Steelers star QB Ben Roethlisberger was suspended and did not play.

With the Pittsburgh Steelers having last week off and the game being played in Pittsburgh, all the advantages point to a Pittsburgh win. It will be a hard-hitting low scoring battle played on a frigid Heinz Field with possible snow showers.  Look for the score to be around 20-13, with the Pittsburgh Steelers advancing and covering the point spread.  The der in this game also seems like a solid play for NFL gamblers due to the fact that both teams defenses are extremely solid and their familiarity with each other playing two times before.  The weather being extremely cold with possible precipitation only adds to the value here.
