Australian Open Day 6 Preview and Picks

Finally an undefeated day, going 3-0 on Day 5 of the Australian Open and making us 11-5 overall for the tournament bringing in huge profits.  We are getting close to the 2nd week of the tournament and top players are beginning to play each other.  There is still great value out their for the smart bettors.  Log onto and play the following wagers.

Jurgen Meltzer -125 vs. Marcos Baghdatis -115

If Jurgen Meltzer wants to break through to the Top 10, this would be the match that would catapult him towards that.  Other than Meltzers 2010 semifinal appearance at the French Open, hes never been past the fourth round despite playing in 34 career Grand Slams.  He will have his hands more than full with Baghdatis, who has survived two early battles to reach this point including a massive victory of Del Potro two nights ago.  I expect Baghdatis to win in a battle.  Ill say it takes five sets.

Pick-Baghdatis in 5 sets

Rafael Nadal -5000 vs. Bernard Tomic +1500

Rafael Nadal has yet to be tested in Melbourne winning his first and second round matches with little difficulty.  After an opening-round retirement by Marcos Daniel, Nadal followed with a straight set victory over American Ryan Sweeting.  With a win Saturday, Nadal will reach the round of 16 for the sixth time.  He plays world # 199 in Australian Bernard Tomic.  Tomic upset the 31st seed Feliciano Lopez.  This will be a mismatch and Nadal will win this in three sets.

Pick-Nadal in 3 sets

Marin Cilic -155 vs. John Isner +115

Marin Cilic reached the third round by beating Santiago Giraldo of Columbia.  Cilic is bidding for his fourth consecutive appearance in the round of 16.  John Isner won his 2nd round match beating tour veteran Radek Stepanek in four sets.  Isner has amassed 46 aces through his first two matches.  The player who serves better will win the match.  Cilic has the more all-around game and reached the semifinals last year.  This match will be ultra competitive and should go five sets.  My lean is to Cilic in 5 sets
